Pre-string the beads. Pre-string the monofilament only with 234 assorted beads.

Knit the first 7″. For Rows 1–60 or approximately 7″ (180mm), knit with yarn and monofilament together using Method B single stitch.

Row 61. On the next row, cut a 6″ (150mm) tail from the yarn.

Cast off yarn. Cast off yarn only as you continue knitting with the monofilament.

Hide the tail. Use a darning needle and thread the tail down through the center of the tube and out. Twisting the main body off from the head will make hiding the tail much easier. Remove needle, but do not cut excess yet.
